1. Who we are

BeTheLocalPro is a service of Krista Mashore Coaching ("BeTheLocalPro," "we," "us," "our"). We build and host authority-positioning websites for real estate agents, mortgage lenders, coaches, consultants, and other local professionals. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

You give us directly when you fill out our intake form or contact us:

Identity and contact information: full name, business name, email, phone, office address, license numbers (DRE, NMLS, etc.)
Professional information: bio, credentials, frameworks, testimonials, case studies, voice samples, signature phrases
Files you upload: headshots, logos, brand assets
Geographic and market information about where you serve clients
Conversion endpoints (your CTA URLs, calendars, lead capture destinations)

We collect automatically when you visit our site:

Device and browser information (IP address, browser type, operating system)
Page interaction data (pages visited, time on site, referrer)
Session recordings and heatmaps via Microsoft Clarity (no personally identifiable information collected; you can opt out)
Analytics via Google Analytics 4 (anonymized IP)

3. How we use your information

To build, host, and operate your authority website on BeTheLocalPro infrastructure
To generate AI-written articles in your voice using your supplied testimonials, frameworks, and bio
To verify your identity, license, and the accuracy of claims made on your site
To send transactional emails (build notifications, daily article digests, account access)
To send marketing emails about new features and case studies (only if you opt in)
To improve our service, debug issues, and prevent fraud
To comply with legal obligations

4. AI processing disclosure

Your written inputs (bio, testimonials, frameworks, voice samples) and reference materials are processed by AI systems, including Anthropic Claude, to generate your site content. AI processing happens on our infrastructure and through Anthropic's API. We do not use your content to train third-party AI models. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.

5. Third parties we share data with

We share data only with service providers needed to deliver our service:

Vercel— site hosting, file storage (Vercel Blob), serverless functions
GitHub— version control for your site repository
Anthropic— AI processing for content generation
Google— Analytics 4, Search Console, optional Business Profile integration
Microsoft— Clarity session recording (optional)
Easy Pay Direct— payment processing (we do not store full payment card numbers)
Resendor similar — transactional email delivery

We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not share your information with advertisers.

6. How long we keep your data

Active accounts: as long as your subscription or mastermind membership is active
Archived sites: for 90 days after access ends, then anonymized or deleted unless retained for resale per our Terms of Service
Inquiry / contact form data: 2 years if you don't convert
Financial records: as required by tax and accounting law (typically 7 years)

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
Opt out of marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link)
Opt out of analytics and session recording
Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

8. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect and disclose, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing." We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. Submit requests to doit@kristamashore.com.

9. European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, our legal basis for processing your information is (a) the contract we have with you to deliver our service, (b) your consent for marketing communications and analytics, and (c) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service. You have the rights described in Section 7 above. We do not have an EU representative; for inquiries, email doit@kristamashore.com.

10. Children

BeTheLocalPro is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, email us and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored files, access controls, and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

12. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality, analytics, and (optionally) session recording. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work as a result. We do not use cookies for advertising.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For material changes, we will notify active customers by email.
